Orionvega is excited to announce a new partnership with Poe Movies on the production of the short-film, The Tell-Tale Heart. Edgar Allan Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart was first published in James Russell Lowell’s The Pioneer in 1843. It is regarded as one of Poe's most famous short stories. Pre-production is in full swing over at Orionvega, as we begin to secure locations, props, and costumes from the late 1800s. All of the filming, locations, and video production will take place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

What makes this particular rendition of The Tell-Tale Heart unique, is the lead character will be played by Rosie Duguid. As the madwoman, this is not the traditional male lead Poe originally envisioned, at the time. We believe this adaptation will create an interesting intersection and thought-provoking interpretation of this ageless masterpiece.

We are looking forward to beginning filming this spring. Stay tuned to Poe Movies and our blog for more news about this exciting project.

This will be the third short film that Orionvega has produced with Poe Movies. You can view the The Raven and The Cask of Amontillado on the Poe Movies Youtube Channel, both in their entirety.

"Now this is the point. You fancy me mad. Madmen know nothing. But you should have seen me. You should have seen how wisely I proceeded — with what caution — with what foresight — with what dissimulation I went to work! I was never kinder to the old man than during the whole week before I killed him." -  The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe
